Wow! The prices are through the roof from places that have stock or a 2-3 wait at a reasonable price for those out of stock. Obviously a consequence of everyone having bought the cheap (~£30?) printers and are WFH

the new toilet roll scenario. I've ended up paying £45 for 2 x black and 1 x colour but delivery not until the 11th

1st world problems eh?

We have the exact same issue. HP all-in-one 2600?

I gave up with inkjet several years ago. Apart from the cost of the ink, they clog up if you don't use them for a couple of weeks and the printer will probably die a week or so after the warranty period expires. I bought a colour laser for about $300. I think we've replaced the toner cartridges twice. Agreed,it's not photo quality, but the cost of getting photos printed is minimal anyway.....

I use HP instant ink. Pay monthly payment for a certain number of pages a month. They ship you cartridges when you need them.

Only issue is you have to buy a printer model that can be used with this service.

Have been using it for years and I am very happy with the service.

I have also looked at that, there's a 2 month free trial on the go at the moment. Thing is we just dont know how many pages per month, it will vary massively depending on what our projects are. Still might be worth investigating further though

You can adjust the amount up or down each month. Also, you can carry over a number of unused pages. Up to a maximum amount. It works for me.

UPDATED: We run a golf society (not at the moment of course). Printing start sheets and handicap lists regularly. Plus we have things like the AGM where we have to print out lots of copies of stuff. So our monthly needs vary. I doubt the basic service would be good for a business needing a lot of printing. However it works for me.
