The other problem is that we don't know who these people are or want.
Terrorism hasn't gone away.
Terrorism hasn't gone away.
That makes them an illegal employer not an illegal immigrantNo such thing.
So what is it if you come to this country without the proper entitlement, don’t claim asylum but just disappear into for example, the black economy?
7/7 were all British born, I’m not sure what terrorism has to do with thisThe other problem is that we don't know who these people are or want.
Terrorism hasn't gone away.
I think it makes them both. That makes them an illegal employer not an illegal immigrant
Technically not true. It’s ILLEGAL to cross but the authorities choose to waive that if they instantly claim asylum… difficult to do because they’ve thrown their passportsThere is no such thing as illegal immigration, why does this trope persist.
Anyone can claim asylum coming to the country in any way they can. It's not illegal.
We process them and either grant their claim or return them.
You can think what you choose to.........but that doesn't make it true I'm afraid.I think it makes them both.
I can see this being exploited by Iran and Russia. Still don't think it's a major issue though.7/7 were all British born, I’m not sure what terrorism has to do with this
just 3 years ago it wasn't illegal to come into the country via any means. This is a new law, Tory law, on the back of propaganda and rhetoric. For a thousand years before that it was perfectly legal.Technically not true. It’s ILLEGAL to cross but the authorities choose to waive that if they instantly claim asylum… difficult to do because they’ve thrown their passports
That's what our security forces are for, to just say no asylum for anyone because of the slight possibility of a bad egg is ludicrous. If that were the case, lets just chuck everyone in the country into the sea, because there will be plenty of bad people drowned, don't worry about the innocent ones, getting those few bad people is what matters, right.I can see this being exploited by Iran and Russia. Still don't think it's a major issue though.
I never mentioned asylum in my post. I was responding to someone posting that there is no such as illegal immigration. You can think what you choose to.........but that doesn't make it true I'm afraid.
It isn't illegal to come here and apply for asylum. they would only be illegal if their application failed and they overstayed or returned here.
I'd suspect there are far more people taking cash in hand and other benefit cheating schemes in the black market economyI never mentioned asylum in my post. I was responding to someone posting that there is no such as illegal immigration.
There is. Depending on the sector a substantial amount of people who come to work in the black economy without any form of legal status. They never claim asylum, they just work without paying tax and can be very vulnerable to all sorts of exploitation.
I’m not saying there aren’t and some of them will be the most vocal about asylum seekers.I'd suspect there are far more people taking cash in hand and other benefit cheating schemes in the black market economy
Oh I agreeThat's what our security forces are for, to just say no asylum for anyone because of the slight possibility of a bad egg is ludicrous. If that were the case, lets just chuck everyone in the country into the sea, because there will be plenty of bad people drowned, don't worry about the innocent ones, getting those few bad people is what matters, right.
point being we've allowed the wrong priorities to be the most dominant topic in our political discourse. Some people need to stop following the herd and ask the right questions.I’m not saying there aren’t and some of them will be the most vocal about asylum seekers.
I do think if someone comes to this country, gets housed in Grangetown, lives off £45 of vouchers each week, gets racially abused on a daily basis, is unable to speak the language, is made to feel unwelcome and an outsider living under the threat of being deported and also see the despicable things the western world (and British Government) are complicit in, it would make them more susceptible / vulnerable to working illegally and being involved in crime, prostitution, substance use, homelessness, being radicalised, the list goes on.7/7 were all British born, I’m not sure what terrorism has to do with this
I work with veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Anyone leaving the Armed Forces who has served 3 years (or medical discharge) and for 5 years after will receive priority banding from Councils for Social Housing however, a few (usually those who only served a short period of time) often feel paying their rent is not a priority and get evicted. They are then going to have difficulty returning to Social Housing until those arrears are cleared.I have no idea how to stop them. That's without sounding or being inhumane.
Yet 21k since January. That's the ones we know about. That's an invasion. They are arriving and needing housing etc. I mean I've worked for over 30 years and can't get an NHS Dentist and wait a week to see a GP. I imagine anyone of these people have a toothache they will be seen and treated for free within days.
That's not being a racist or patriotic. It's a ridiculous fact. How are these people housed and fed when we've got armed forces war veterans homeless ? Pensioners who can't afford to turn on the heating in winter ? Millions spent on people who have contributed nothing to this country.
That's without food, which has been stated several times already. If accommodation and food are provided then yes
Well that went wellBut I voted for brexit because I knew the thieves would get caught with their hands in the biscuit tin and hoped it would bring political anarchy and a move to proportional representation
