The so called “Cage football” has been said to be one of the biggest factors as it’s about tight spaces and using your wits and technique.

it’s a bit like the way Brazillisns use street football to hone their skills in the favellas.

I used to live in the boroughs of both Lewisham and Bromley. To think Boro signed Gary O'Neill from all that talent in the two boroughs.
I live in Lambeth now which seems to be fertile ground for Fulham. Fulham are good at spotting local talent in south London. The number of kids I've seen wearing Fulham training gear is ridiculous.
I believe both Spence and Jones are from Lambeth. The more famous name is Jadon Sancho, who's from Kennington, Lambeth. Maybe Boro should bet up a your club there - Lambeth Boro!

I played football in this area for a number of years - I know the field in the photo and Hillyfields referred to in the article very well. Some of the kids having a kick about in the local 5 a-side leagues were on a different level.

To be entirely pedantic, Sancho was born in Camberwell but brought up in the bit of Kennington that's in Southwark. Albert Adomah was born in Lambeth though.

Yes, I did wonder but I'm going to say he played football in Kennington Park in the Lambeth part. I have no proof though
