How soon before Dael is on his way if good offers come in?

Fry is worth £25m+ and if he’s worth that Mcnair is worth £15m. Bola and Dijksteel both worth £10m easily if you look at some of the garbage fullbacks in the Prem.

I'd be extremely shocked if you got anywhere close to those valuations.

Tinted glasses I think.

In most fans eyes they'd all have been given away 8 months ago.

No club will pay close to those figures. The closest you'd get is Fry but not £25+m upfront.

I think we would; he's young, English and only going to improve. Look at someone like Ake who went for 41m; are we saying he's twice as good as Fry?

In todays market he's probably a 15-20m player.

I'd agree with that.

McNair wouldn't step up to the Prem as a defender and isn't good enough as a midfielder to command much more than what we paid and the full backs would maybe make £5m each possibly a touch more.

He's having a good season and looked outstanding last match but it's longer term consistency that's required for a big money transfer and I don't think he's there yet.

On a personal level, I'd hope he'd look at what happened to Ben Gibson and maybe David Wheater before making any decisions if a 'bigger' club comes knocking.

I remember when Wheater was being touted as club captain with a nailed on England place.

Things change quickly in football.

He was very good yesterday and has been good for most of this season, certainly looks a better bet than grant hall. However it was only a year ago when people were saying he is worth £20 million etc when he was getting knocked off the ball by a gust of wind. It really is all or nothing in here!

just a point as well if he’s worth £30 million (which I think he is worth nowhere near) what would that make McNair and Dijksteel be worth given most (I believe from posts on here from the first half of the season) would say have had better seasons.
McNair and Dijksteel are not better than Fry

His value is dictated by which clubs are interested, and by length of contract. Dael has another 2 years after this season, we don't want to sell and some midlevel prem sides would be interested. I would suspect about 25M would tempt us

Premier league clubs have paid in excess of 20mil for defenders who are either as good or not as good as Fry.

He's young and English (adds a few quid). If any prem club wants him then make them pay. We must be realistic enough to know he would be sold at the right price.

We are apparently losing around 2mil a month. If that's remotely true they you couldn't blame them for selling.

Last season we were losing 2mill a month, I'd suspect less now as we had a huge number of high earners off the books. We will have a few more this summer. We will still be losing 1mill+ a month mind, but it's probably healthier than a lot of other champ clubs.

Well he will be part of side that wins playoffs plus I very much think he be scared to be another Gibson. But if we are to sell 30 million while Tav is 25 million in today's market.

Tav is not a £25m player.

I really don't know where people pluck their valuations from.

I've said before we've got a defence worth at least 60m+ which is crazy and testament to the job that Warnock has done.

How many clean sheets have we kept so far?

Too many with a mistake in them for me. Look good on the eye when bringing the ball out of defence but are stretched, pulled out of shape and find themselves the wrong side of the striker too often.
