He should get all of next season. No point even suggesting anything else.
Surely if we are 9th-14th and struggling by the end of January and he's announced he's leaving after the final game of the season then there's little point him staying?
A mutual agreement to allow him to retire, giving the next guy a chance to fully assess the squad, including youth players etc. before the end of the season, so plans for the (now annual) summer overhaul/rebuild can be made?
