How long do we give Warnock then?

Really feels like we are just going through the motions, again. The worry is, that come May we rip it all up and start again, with whichever manager fits Gibson’s profile and is out of work.

Its a worry, even after 6 games.

Crazy talk. We've started the season with a depleted squad and didn't make the important signings until deadline day. Things will change over the next few weeks and I expect we'll start to see huge improvements in the next two games.

Same as pretty much every other team in the league then?

Warnock has been in the job long enough to not get another honeymoon period. He can’t have any excuses now, this is his squad and he’s had long enough to work with them to see some improvement.

It's not up to us but I suspect Mr. Gibson will give him the time required to get his new squad into shape.

He's here till the end of the season.

Then "The Plan" kicks in. No way we will get promoted this season so keep NW and (as long as we don't threaten to go down) see what next season brings.
We can't just write off a season with 6/7 games played Muttley. It's simply not fair on the supporters and the hard earned money they're shelling out.

This is a worrying start to the season.

So this season is just written off then.
So what was the point in keeping Warnock
Might as well have made a fresh start now

The bigger picture is we are recruiting really well the change with the sporting director is refreshing. Whether NW is pragmatic enough to change his style and get the best out of the squad I would like to think he is. Its like we are recruiting like Brentford or Norwich model with Warnock as manager. I am not too concerned we won't go down we may make the play offs. But long term the new strategy is a winner

I don’t think Gibson will get rid of Warnock any time soon, and I’m not sure there’d be much benefit, unless we appoint a long term successor, with the long term vision (whatever it is) in mind.

I do get the impression though, that the recent signings are by the club rather than by NW.

We look a mess though, and have a tough game on Wednesday. Another defeat will only make things worse. The fact that we don’t have a back up left back, which is causing us to play a formation that doesn’t work, is costing us big time. Its actually a shocking situation to be in for a club that has serious ambitions of promotion.

This season was supposed to be a fresh start. Warnock himself was saying that we’d be giving this season a full go in terms of promotion. That was what he said when we were well in the hunt for the play-offs last season. The club sold season tickets on the back of that sentiment, of waiting for next season. You can’t go back on that after a handful of games, IMO. The aim this season is promotion. That was what was said and sold to us from February/March onwards. He has to deliver better results than what we’ve seen since the turn of the year.

It has been a very poor start to the season.
It is also pointless to suggest Warnock has just a few matches to avoid a change. He will be here for the season until a new set up is recruited.
It's disappointing, as I think we have better players than last season and in fact than we've had for a good while.
I had hoped that Warnock would galvanise, organise and get them performing quickly. I am far less confident he will do just now and I'm sad about that.

At what point does Gibson say it’s not working though? Christmas is generally too late. Warnock does need a little bit of time for the new lads to bed in, but we really need to see an up turn in results and performances very soon.
