How do you like your eggs

Love our chickens to bits but they destroy the garden. Especially over the winter when there's not much green about. Keeping them in a run at the moment to let the lawn recover. I like a couple of eggs fried in very hot oil to creisp up the base, white the white but leave the yolk orange and runny. Salt and ground black pepper seasoning. Black pudding to soak it up if I'm feeling decadent.
Also very fond of aomelette with melted feta cheese. Food of the Greek Gods.

2 poached most mornings with 2 slices of granery bread and pepper.

I have one of those poaching machines off amazon for Β£20. Its absolutely mint and gets them bang on every time using only a spoon or so of water.

II do like a fryed egg with a fryed breakfast or chips. Although it rare.
What egg poacher did you get? I love poached eggs but rarely do them myself because basically... my poached eggs suck. .

How can you not poach an egg!! Crack an egg into gently boiling water and fish it out after three and a half minutes - perfect.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the humble boiled egg. I had those for breakfast yesterday. Eggs are brilliant regardless of how done mind.

I must be one of the few people who can't stand eggs, in any format, they make me heave. Only time I ever crack an egg is when I'm making the batter for Yorkshires

Note: for a perfect poached egg the eggs must be really fresh.
Haha i don't know mine always seem to kind of fall apart and get all stringy. Nothing like they are when you go out for breakfast.
For poaching you need very fresh eggs or they do fall apart. A tbl spoon of white wine vinegar in the water and get a little vortex going, drop egg (gently) in the centre. Also you don't want the water bubbling, just a gentle rolling boil.

I'm with Norfolkred - the classic chucky egg. Boiled, it has to be runny white in preference to any hard yellow for me.

Favourite omelette: plain omelette folded over chopped tomato, chopped spring onion & grated cheddar. Try it!
