How do you feel after covid ?

Just curious how people feel after having covid and does it make you think you’d rather not have the vaccine now you’ve got some antibodies in you ?

I had the virus and will not hesitate to have the vaccine.

My wife had COVID at the same time as me, she has had the first of her vaccines (as a health worker) as have ALL her colleagues. Don't worry about it, there is a miniscule chance that you will have a bad reaction to the vaccine, there is a much higher chance that if you catch the virus that you will have a very rough time. Indeed my wife felt a fatigued the day after her jab. In contrast, she was signed off work for four weeks when she had the virus.

Edit - and we count ourselves lucky.

Just to dispel the myth that having the disease will give you comparable immunity to getting the vaccine - estimates are that a CoVid-19 infection can be caused by as little as several hundred viral particles.

A single dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on the other hand, delivers 50 billion particles containing the genetic code for the spike protein.

I think it's a fairly safe bet as to which will invoke a stronger immune response.

First symptoms on the 15th Jan, tested +ve 17th. These were temperature, cough and mild flu like symptoms, along with a headache. Started to loose taste during isolation period and still haven't got it back yet.
I am going to donate plasma and I will most certainly take the jab when offered for reasons already explained earlier in the thread.

Still feel a little lethargic 3 months after but otherwise OK, will have the vaccine when offered.
Two jobs both classed as key worker, hopefully get it before the "benefits" of having civid wear off.

I had it and it didn't affect me too badly if I'm honest. I know I'll have some protetion but I'll still get the vaccine when given the opportunity.

Don't be fooled into thinking because you have had the virus, you can't get it again.
I tested positive on Xmas Eve, and had hardly any symptoms at all. If I hadn't been going to see my granddaughter for Xmas Day, I wouldn't even have gone for a test.

Three weeks ago I was rediagnosed and spent a week in hospital, getting discharged two weeks today. I am still fcukd.
Wednesday was first day I have had pyjamas off.
Yesterday was first day I managed to stay awake and out of bed between 0930 and 2230.
Appetite has disappeared. I have lost almost two stone in the 3 weeks.
Energy is non existent. Total lethargy exists.

Please don't think you are allergic just because you might have had it,
Wear a mask and be safe.
Take care.

Tested positive on the 4th January, felt like death, found it hard to breathe, lost sense of taste and smell, no energy was really scary, gradually started to feel better, the wife gave it to me ,she works in a care home which is rife with it. Now when I breathe all I can smell is smoke, its bloody awful. Both of us are getting the vaccine next week.I wouldn't wish it on anyone, I know we have got off lightly, if offered get the vaccine.......
