How do we pick a new manager ?

Given we only have one person at the top. So realistically how many people do you think will be privy to any real information or involved in the decision making process.

WE don’t pick a new manager, much like prime ministers really, we don’t have any say. And if it was my cash going into the club I wouldn’t give us a say either.

Sorry I’m taking about the process I know fans have no input in looking at what the structure is likely to be.

As we know only one man decides but how many if any are involved.

The process starts with each candidate given a number equal to that on a dart board, Neil has Steve on face time and proceeds to throw blind x3 darts to create a shortlist (should the inner circle & bull be hit it has to be re thrown).
Once the short list is revealed 3 darts are thrown blind at the board for each candidate, highest score wins and is named the manager of Middlesbrough F.C.

I think we get Warnock's bingo ball he used for picking his team, put the linked managers name in and pick one.

Scott shortlists and recommends, Bausor sorts interview and logistics then the legal and financials of the contract, Gibbo overviews the process and has ultimate sign off?
I think this is probably close, although in many situations the DoF would actually be the one making the final decision. Understand why we think that might not be the case at Boro though!

Sorry, yeah I meant that Scot would be involved in the choosing, along with Bausor and ultimately Gibbo.

I’ve been told the same

I wonder if Scott’s involvement will mean we take a manager off another club?

If he said ‘sorry gibbo but I can’t recommend anyone who is currently free but strongly recommend this chap at X club’ if Gibson would listen?

My point is that because there’s no board and no shareholders to brief in effect Steve Gibson can appoint him any time without pre notifying anyone.

It’s down to one phone call.

We take the candidates on a little run over the Yorkshire Moors then stop for a cuppa an chat.
Anyone still interested after gets an interview.(y)
