How did you decide on your first bank?

I joined Williams & Glynn on Albert Road for 3 reasons :
1) It sounded pretty cool and a bit 'exclusive'
2) Not far from where I had just started work
3) There never seemed to be any queues

Shortly after it changed to RBS.
It was still close to work so I suppose 1 out of 3 ain't bad.

Yes, another lifelong Yorkshire Bank "customer" from the mid '50's when it was the Yorkshire Penny Bank.. there was a branch on Mandale Road in Thornaby. (pre airfield development). I never went in but we were relieved of 2 bob (10p for the younger readers!) every Monday morning at the Village School after the register! I never kept it up however but rejoined with my grant cheque when I came to college in Nottingham. I'm still with them, my pensions go in every month!!
