How’s this government bounty gonna be payed for ? A solution

Itll be like most diseases if dont die from it you will have developed anti bodies until a vaccine is here.... a roll of dice for us and our loved ones

Ignoring all the populist nonsense in the OP, the way in which the country will pay for this has already been mentioned. We will pay slightly higher taxes than would otherwise have been the case.

The Government is going to borrow the money required, which will be at very low rates of interest. Collectively, we will need to service those debt payments on an annual basis. If we can return to something like normal levels of economic activity and growth (which is the entire point of these interventions) then we will hardly notice that at all.

Also, once inflation has worked its impact, in 30 years’ time when we’re finally paying this off, the amount borrowed won’t even sound that high. A bit like when you first buy a house and the mortgage seems enormous but, by the time you come to pay it off, young people can’t believe you were able to buy a house for that amount.

How is life in Narnia ?

The only way of paying off government debt is through the power of raising taxes. Once the confidence is lost by the lenders that a government is not collecting or refusing to raise those taxes for political reasons then the lenders increase their interest rates. Then the equilibrium point is reached and it all tips over with defaults.

Strange, could have sworn I wrote “We will pay slightly higher taxes than would otherwise have been the case” in the opening paragraph. Let me check - yes, definitely did.

So I’m afraid I don’t know how life is in Narnia. Or Venezuela...

Also possible that Corbyn was right all along and that money was always there and was not released for ideological reasons. Time will tell

I can confirm thats exactly what you wrote but its an opinion just like mine is and not a statement of fact as you imply

Some time ago it was proposed to charge 0.5 pence per bank transaction or some such low figure. It was reckoned to bring in hundreds of billions of pounds. I don't know how true that would be though.

I shudder to think the potential ramifications of a transparent division . What next stick em all on Australia ? At least we’d never have to play em at cricket .

Most of the money will not be raised it will be added to Government debt as it was after WW1 and WW2.

Politically the Government can't raise taxes significantly and neither can it cut most Public expenditure after 10 years of cuts.

It will benefit from delayed purchases tax being made in the second half of the year instead of now and some extra overtime tax.
