Exempt because it is a ‘workplace canteen’

Never even occurred to them to just do the right thing and set an example.

I wonder if it`s always been deemed as a "workplace canteen" or has it been changed recently to get round the rules. :unsure:
 
The rules should apply to all licensed premises and this again demonstrates the them and us attitudes that are leading many people to have little or no regard for the guidelines, you simply cannot do things like this and remain credible and expect others to comply.

Disappointed that no MP of any Party has come out and said anything about this, I understand that left and right have different views but you would hope that regardless of political persuasion someone would speak up against a matter which is clearly a case of right and wrong.

The health minister, just this morning said (in relation to calling the police if your neighbour is breaking lockdown rules’
’as an example, if you see there is a marquee in your neighbours garden’.... :)

This thread is the first I've read of this. I find that totally unacceptable, yet not in the least bit surprising. I suppose Joe public really is held in such contempt by the govt. To ask us to 'play ball' when so actively not doing so themselves shows utter disregard. Absolute shìthóuses every last bloody one of them

We've got a gazebo in ours and I can't be asred to take it down. I await the boot through the door.
 
It’s such an own goal - so easy to have the rules apply to these bars and so much credibility lost by not doing so. This should be sorted out quickly.

that said I’d be interested to know how many of them arre there past ten o clock of an evening.
 
What does this tell you? Along with Cummings, Hancock, Ferguson etc. ignoring advice - some people here seem cheesed off that it is one rule for them etc. NO it tells you that the threat is nonsense and they know it, otherwise they wouldn't do it and put there lives in jeopardy. Stop kidding yourself and see things for what they are.
