He obviously has potential as his youth record and Bundesliga form confirms that. I was watching a few youtube videos about him. One of them had a german guy from transfermarkt basically saying last summer that a year in bundesliga 2 would probably aid his development rather than moving on. As he hardly played in Spain I am expecting raw. He seems 2 footed ( unlike watmore who is 1 legged) and fit so will probably fit in with the press Wilder likes. Oddly Larsen does not seem like a presser to me, but what do I know.

Obviously not much history to go on but its a signing that I can get excited about. Might be awful, but could be fantastic. Watching that hattrick he got for Schalke they are good finishes. From what I've read he was a central midfielder as a junior so you'd expect a decent engine and creativity. He was pushed to play as a forward as his coaches saw he had a natural ability to score goals.

I don’t think any of us really can have a solid opinion on Hoppe. It’s a game of wait and see

The good thing about Hoppe is that he's played so little that you could watch his entire senior career in a day.

Much quicker than that with highlights.
