Hope they catch this horrible vermin.

Cleveland Police - based in Middlesborough. A force that didn’t qualify for additional ‘serious violence’ funding despite being number two in the country for violent crime. Their Sin was to not return a Tory MP - you pay a big the price for such rebellion.
 
I feel sick having read that. So many people carrying knives now. That poor policeman. Gray will be caught but he wont talk, so the other 2 will get away with it probably. Sentencing for attacking emergency workers needs to be made higher. Anyone using a weapon or drawing a weapon on one should be a minimum 5 years served inside.

You would hope he will get a lot more than 5 years. It looks like attempted murder, without knowing all the facts.

I agree totally, my 5 year comment wasn’t regarding these 3 scumbags, it was for general knife crime, i.e drawing a knife, never mind using it, and that would be a minimum for me as I stated. I ‘d personally give him 12 years (assuming the police officer makes a full physical recovery, I doubt mentally he ever will), I doubt the courts will mind. If he refuses to provide the names of his accomplices, I‘d give him another 5 years for that too.
 
Shocking story. A Police Officer just doing their duty treated like that. Let's hope all three are caught and brought to justice and that the Officer makes a full and speedy recovery.

More than give him another 5 years, give him their sentences by proxy, until he names names.
 
Beggars belief. I hope justice is served and they all pay fairly for what they have put this poor guy through.

I just have no idea how you can be capable of something so horrific. Terrifying to know we all pass one or two on the streets capable of this kind of thing around here most days. I get increasingly paranoid even just walking the hound on an evening, seems to be more shifty kinds out causing grief more often, the level of incidents involving doyles kicking off, causing harm to others, etc, seems to have increased for sure. Always looking over my shoulder!

Terrible story. Hope the man makes a speedy recovery and copes OK. Thank God he wasn't hurt badly enough for the worst to have happened, the fact they attempted something like this is reprehensible. Knocks me sick.
