I really miss going abroad but we shouldn't be considering it this year.
Boris should have closed the borders last year and got the country back on its feet.
We need to get rid of all the restrictions in June - is that possible with the borders open?

No chance of me going abroad until Summer 2022 at least. Don't see the point. It'll be days out in the UK this summer for us instead.
Depends where you're going I guess. If it's somewhere on the green liat, that'll have you, I can't see an issue

Maybe short haul from a local airport. There's no way I'm gonna stand in a queue for 6 or 7 hours at Heathrow.

I’ve already had Budapest cancelled by easyJet in June which was bumped from last year . Booked Mallorca flights from Teesside as soon as the came out I think around Xmas thinking “got to be ok by July “ . Not looking as promising now . Not booked any accommodation yet. Will go if we can i think . Probably consider other green countries but it’s a faff so will give it serious thought before pressing the book button . Can’t stand the the another year of sunshine and showers , cold by 6pm and crappy b&bs at 120 quid a night

We have just booked to go to Israel today as it is on the green list, should be a nice change. Just seen the fireworks in Israel on the news tonight, Jerusalem looks like they are challenging Walt Disney World and The Magic Kingdom, can’t wait, the grandkids will love it

cancelled my trip to rajashan in november, but going to do a few uk short hols starting with liverpool in june for a week

nice. is it expensive?

We booked a Villa in Zante last year for September 2021, while prices were low. The airport and flight are an issue possibly, but safe enough once there other than a couple of trips to hypermarkets. We'll have had our vaccinations as well.

Uk holiday this year.. had a cottage in the Lakes booked since September last year so beat the astronomical price hikes! I don't fancy the idea of travelling abroad then fretting about a change to the traffic light colour whilst away.. Also don't want to spend good money on a foreign holiday to then have restrictions in place around wearing masks when not on sunbedds, only 10 in the pool at any time etc... hopefully next year all of these concerns will be gone!

Update on this, just re-booked our Swedish trip to slightly more favourable flights. Still middle of June mind so not exactly a given!

Full refund on the original flights and can change new ones to vouchers online if required. Pretty good service all round from KLM and SAS

Is that what he's been doing since he left the board?

Booked to go to Skiathos for a fortnight on June 23rd but have until the 9th of June to amend it if Greece is not in the green zone when the next announcements are made on the 7th.

Got Krackow booked for 4 nights in August but this was rolled over from last year but will have to wait and see, not planning anything else abroad this year though.
So we have had an email from the travel company saying that as Poland is on the amber list then our holiday can go ahead, so that means basically the following.

Before departing an amber list country for the UK, you will need to show evidence of a negative Covid test.

After arriving back in the UK you will have to quarantine for 10 days, taking a PCR test on day two and day eight.

Do you actually pay for these tests?? Seems a lot of hassle for effectively a long weekend away??

Desperate to book for later in the year, but it just seems like a disaster waiting to happen with the potential for a positive test as your due to fly home. Doesn’t seem worth the risk for now
