HMRC what a shít show

I wouldn't imagine working from home has impacted on most call centres. The software they use monitors performance significantly. We used some in our NHS service for taking calls and the poor receptionists had to pause the software if they needed a pee. Could track every minute of their day.

Use an app called WEQ4U

The app hangs up your call but keeps you in the phone lines queue and contacts you back when an agent answers. While your on hold and not connected to the call it doesn't use your mobiles inclusive minutes while your waiting.
I have that app and its good for premium numbers and for those with limited mobile minutes but otherwise its convenience is limited as you still have to keep an eye out for the alert.

Nowt to do with austerity because it's the same with businesses too. Everyone working from home and too busy brewing up, eating biscuits, taking the dog for a crap, watching loose women and generally tossing it off.

For public services austerity is 100% to blame and was getting to the same poor levels of service before Covid and then during Covid it was low staffing levels because of Covid.

For the private sector Covid has allowed a different way of thinking. Previously a queue for a call centre was seen as reputational damage and avoided like the plague, Covid has now normalised the acceptance of queues within the industry.

Or to put it another way, if working from home was the problem, then call centres wouldn't be closing in favour of centralisation and hybrid working.

When we vote for austerity this is what it means.
Ambulances, police, doctors appointments, A&E wait times, HMRC tax advisors, a functioning environment agency ....... obvious outcomes of tory cuts. If there was any justice then the likes of the posh cu.nt, truss, mogg, raab etc would have to suffer for 15 hours on the floor in agony waiting for ambulances that are queued up waiting to discharge other patients to a bed that has been cut.

And yet Grove Hill gammons championed the corrupt posh cu.nt for 'getting brexit done'.

As elitist as it is, I wonder whether people should have to qualify for a vote. We all knew what austerity meant yet those who actually voted for it act surprised at the inevitable consequences.

I’m sure the 2% pay rise enforced on the civil service will really create an incentive to work much harder in the forthcoming year.

Liz and her crew getting a pay off for the sterling work they did for almost 6 weeks will reassure them that everything is fair in the world.

Or to put it another way, if working from home was the problem, then call centres wouldn't be closing in favour of centralisation and hybrid working.
Nothing to do with austerity though just more greed from businesses who are prepared to accept delivering rubbish customer service.

You just quoted me out of context and applied the beginning to the end incorrectly.

Austerity is crippling public customer services and the acceptance of long queues is allowing private businesses to save money by providing poor service.

Unless you're not sure what austerity means?
