Hitting the ground running this season

Look, I know there's a lot of work involved in getting the squad sorted out, players holding out for better deals, clubs possibly not keen on letting a particular player go, attracting players to the area etc, but wouldn't it be utterly fantastic (now that we have our brilliant management and coaching staff in place) to be able to hit the ground running at the start of the season?

You know, none of this moaning at Christmas of "if only we'd had X, Y or Z since the start of the season.

Ah well. Allow me to dream.

I'd love us to get our business done before the start of the season too. That period between game 1 and the transfer window closing is a huge distraction.
