Higgy undr the cosh

I love the greyhound story.

And Rav with the Sunday dinner.

And Gazza sending Jimmy to Brum to pick up a coffee mug.

And Gazza putting Veet in the Brylcreem jar and burning Jimmy's head.

And his insight with Karanka when he nearly decked him.

Great video.

He was offered a contract to stay as a player but was told if he didnt sign it he wouldnt feature in the Cup Final then at the end of the season Robbo told him to get in touch before he signed for someone else to be told 'all the best Higgy'

Truth may well lie somewhere in the middle, lot of people have indicated karanka was difficult to work with, and from way hignett tells that story himself there karanka stepped forward and hignett step forward to punch him but was restrained. Sounds like their relationship was irreparable from there (regardless of who's fault it was) and imagine both have their own side to it

Yeah he said that…
Higgy should have sent the medical team on and subbed off Dimi.. instead of laughing about Karanka’s kick off with the Blackburn bench.

I get it, he’s a nice guy and he’s honest and genuine. But it that moment he needed to play the game. I’m guessing that things had not been quite right before that similar to how Downing viewed Karanka.

Higgy and Coops seemed to be the golden ticket at Hartlepool and it’s a shame that didn’t reach a full conclusion. How the fook Robbie Keane landed the assistants job over Hignett under Woodgate I do not know. Sounds like he’s after an U23s job.

VERY FUNNY the stories about Ravanelli lolllol

Perhaps coaching kids part time would suit.

I must admit until watching this I didn't realise he commentates on most Liverpool matches on radio and as a lifelong fan he seems fairly happy doing that. Does he still live in the North East does anyone know?

Crazy to think that Everton couldn’t have taken him on a free or stumped up with the £1m

I liked the part when it was asked... It must have been hard to get these players to a place like Middlesbrough? Higgy was quickly on the defensive with Why? Adopted Teessider and a really talented player.

Shows the screwed up world of football finances.....He'd have done a job for anyone at that time.

I must admit I'd forgotten just how young he still was when he left us. I'm trying to remember did he ever come back to play against us at the Riverside but my creaking brain is refusing to work properly?

He said he came back to play against robbo as he asked him why didn’t he give him a ring.

No mention of why nick barmby left..
