Hernandez

He wasn't scoring for us, same as our other makeshift strikers.

But he's a good winger and I was surprised we never tried to play him at left wing back when Bola got injured.

Seem to remember him playing well in the home game vs Forest and a decent cameo coming off the bench vs Bournemouth. Aside from that I generally remember him flattering to deceive.

I remember him missing an easy one-on-one chance at Blackpool. I never really felt he had goals in him.

In fairness, he's probably a good player playing wide left in a decent footballing side.

poor decision to let him go — very tricky winger at Championship level —gave us balance on the left which we don’t have right now.
Wilder said he was costing far too much for how much he was contributing. Also he didn't give us any real threat and couldn't defend

Thought he was picking up the system as a striker and certainly offered something. He would certainly have done no worse than Balogun and Connolly. However I do wonder if the decision to let him go was biased by FFP considerations. People have suggested that due to his age Balogun's costs don't count against FFP, don't know the truth of that.

I think it was definitely because of financial considerations that he was moved on, but as a loanee Balogun isn't count as an under 21 for FFP purposes.

It hasn't worked out so far, but it did make sense to move out a winger for an actual striker when your formation relies on 2 mobile strikers.

So far, its never ever going to with these mobile non scoring forwards.

Nah, it was a mistake to let him go.
Far better contributor than Connolly and balagun
He was brilliant against forest and always busy and tricky on the ball which unsettles defences

He’s surely going to be motivated for Tuesday 🙈
Not sure what wilder was thinking for that one to be honest 🤔😞

The mistake was which strikers we brought in. Hernandez did very little overall for what Wilder explained was for pretty significant money

This. I wasn't that impressed in the games I saw him in. At Luton he probably put in the most anonymous of his appearances.
Ironically he was probably better in the brief cameos under Wilder than he was in the main who signed him In Warnock
