Are Man Utd going to let a caretaker manager spend £30m?
Spurs have just signed Connor Gallagher too. Can't see much traction with either of these.

Villa may be one to watch for Hackney. They apparently wanted Gallagher but missed out to Tottenham, so they’re obviously in the market for a central midfielder.

I don’t see them spending £20m-£25m on a midfield player in January, when they have an interim manager in place and have Kobbie Mainoo needing to be reintegrated into the team. And Spurs have just added Gallagher.
Agreed. They also want Baleba in the summer so if he went he quite possibly wouldn’t be a regular in 6 months time. Pressure would be on to rip it up for them immediately, but I’m not sure he’s good enough defensively for what they need. Him and Mainoo wouldn’t be solid enough as a pair.

As you said Spurs just bought Gallagher so again he’s not guaranteed to start and would more likely find himself on the bench.

Potentially an unbelievable opportunity for him, but a big risk. Firstly there a great opportunity for him here to cement his place in club legend in getting promotion, the moment he leaves there will be a section of the fan base who won’t forgive him if it topples our season. Secondly, if he wants to progress he needs to be playing, and to play he needs to be better than atleast one of Mount, Casemiro, Fernandez, Ugarte and Mainoo. Not impossible but still a risk.

We accepted a bid of £20m off Ipswich in the Summer, so why not again if Man Utd come calling? If we did so again, it would be very difficult for Hackney to turn down.

January has a premium, we are also in a stronger position on the pitch (top2) and off it as we sold Azaz. Selling HH now has more risk than it did in the summer, if it was 20 then it’s going to be 25 or 30 now.

Its a very different scenario to then. He's worth more than £20m to us now. I'd very surprised if we accepted an offer like that.

Every player has a price of course. But he's the key player in a side with genuine ambitions of automatic promotion. And its very hard to replace players in January.

Of course if someone comes and makes a silly offer then anything is possible.

Sorry but if Utd come in for him now, he will go…no question.

United are absolutely skint and have no cash available, they’ve maxed their debt out, on the limit of FFP as well. Unless they can offload one of Casemiro or Utgarte or a high value youngster, I can’t seem them being able to buy him.
