Hayden Hackney is going to be a huge star ***

He’s certainly made up for the loss of Tav. Amazing what just one player can do to the rest of the team. However let’s not get away from the fact since Wilder left this team has sprung a new step. The passing, movement as well as winning second balls has all been there. Credit has to be given to Leo who introduced Hackney.
 
What’s most surprised me about him is his willingness to stick a boot in. He’s technically brilliant and so composed on the ball, but he’s got a nastiness in him too. We’ve been crying out for someone like him for years.

Genuinely think if he carries on the way he’s started he’ll do big things.

Managers tend to be focused on getting short term results because they will be sacked if they don't get them.
 
All teams should invest in the future and for the most part they do, the question is how to harness your younger players and integrate them at the right time. Btw Josh Coburn scored again today.
 
He looked good in the fa cup game against Brentford around two years ago, but didn’t really pull up any roses at Scunthorpe who got relegated from league two. Obviously a player who needs other good players around him to show his true worth. Long may it continue.

I posted something recently about the analysis a bloke had done of the academy's, based on where players from the academy we're playing, weighting premier League higher than championship etc. Ours was highest outside the premier League.

I think it would be interesting watching him for the Scotland u21 hes got the composure and passing ability for that level
