Have you ever ached for the peace that

a silent and 100% effective bullet through your brain would yield? If not, then you're extremely fortunate and I envy you. Massively.

It’s part of the human condition. We’re programmed by society to have unrealistic expectations and the vast majority of us fall short (in our own mind’s eye). We’re destined to fail, and this makes us unhappy or “ill at ease”. I’m sorry to hear if anyone on here gets to that stage. I do know how it feels. The better days, though, make it worth struggling on.
Wall to wall footy starts tomorrow. That’ll do for a few weeks!!
Stay strong Boro friends

Very little of what we do is natural to our instincts - there in lies much of our problems. We may live to a ripe old age now compared to the past but are we really any happier than the Stone Age man who’s only real “worry” was keeping warm when it was cold and finding enough to eat 🤔

Yes - if you find the bullet let me know where I can get one
I used to think that often in my twenties and thirties, the black fog used to descend. But I hung in and even though in my late thirties and forties my life was more stressful the fog stopped descending, I’m not even sure I know why But it got better.

I know it sounds a long wait, but it was worth it. Yes still the odd duff day, but we all have that, life is all we’ve got, good or bad, cling on to it with every fibre, if it can’t get worse it can only get better.

To Scub and Aet, I find humour and music helps. Now saying that, it has to be stuff you like of course. Social Media can and does help many people IF you find the right platform, and from the replies here so far I think you are in the right place.

I logged on here tonight for the first time in about two months.

I deliberately stayed away because a few months ago I could see it wasn’t the right place.

I won’t go into my problems and why I’ve just woke up anxious and wide awake at 3am. I’ve already derailed the thread. Anxiety depression will get me in the end.

Please don't think this. You are always welcome on here. I know you probably aren't here right now but people on here might seem chaotic, bitchy and downright uncaring but many of us do care. Please stay safe, get help, believe in yourself, take comfort in others. Don't give up. It might not seem like it but people need you.

Hey Scoobs, I posted this on one of the "Covers" threads the other day hoping you might catch it (of course you may already be familiar)

Heavy Metal band Disturbed with a quite magnificent cover of "Sound of Silence" (orig Simon and Garfunkel), hope you enjoy it.

It’s a terrible affliction. I’ve had my episodes over the years. Drugs, shrinks, therapists etc. Thankfully, I’m through it now (mine was related to some specific things in my life). I still get sad at times but generally I’m ok. Every bodies black dog is a different breed and I found that despite the efforts of everybody else (thank you to you all), only I could solve it

Please take what I write seriously.

Have either of you considered magic mushrooms?
The idea frightened me until i listened to a radio 4 program about it.

Natures way of helping. I went into the garden last week and they were growing.
If you would like some info and some pointers then send me a message or your email address
