Have you ever ached for the peace that

Hey Scoobs, I posted this on one of the "Covers" threads the other day hoping you might catch it (of course you may already be familiar)

Heavy Metal band Disturbed with a quite magnificent cover of "Sound of Silence" (orig Simon and Garfunkel), hope you enjoy it.
Hi mate, I have indeed heard it, many a time, I have both versions on my iPod! Superbly powerful and emotive cover of a brilliant original, although as you might expect I tend to prefer the Disturbed effort 😉

There are a few other not so well-known metal covers of 'pop' songs I know of that you might like to have a listen of...

Please take what I write seriously.

Have either of you considered magic mushrooms?
The idea frightened me until i listened to a radio 4 program about it.

Natures way of helping. I went into the garden last week and they were growing.
If you would like some info and some pointers then send me a message or your email address
Hi mate, in answer to your question, yes, I'm strongly considering it. Been doing a fair bit of research into it over the past few months and I believe they're even starting to trial the microdosing of psilocybin in the medical world too. I desperately hope it offers a way out of this hell as I'm gradually losing faith and hope in other treatments.

I'm a big fan of cover versions that take a song into a new/different genre or reinterpret it to bring out new meaning. Post 'em up. (y)

Stay with it Scuba. We care about you 👍

Unfortuneatley I am in a bad place too, and would love a pain free way of passing away. What stops me is thinking of my grown up kids.
I am in a stressful situation with my business and havent seen family for nearly two years as they live 3 hours away.
Instead of doing something stupid, I find myself doing the opposite of all the things that should make us live a long life. So have started drinking again, my diet is terrible and my last diabetic test was off the scale etc
I have to find a way to end the stress and make it stop.

This is an equally terrible but hopeful thread. It's awful that there are so many of us struggling but great that you feel able to share your experiences with friends on here. I can offer nothing except sympathy, good wishes and a genuine hope that you all manage to find help and solutions to your problems. You are loved and needed.

Thank you Harry, you're a top bloke. I hope to share a beer or two with you (and others) at some point in the future...

Talk to someone as soon as you can who can give you advice and guidance. Try and leave the drink alone and go for a walk as a replacement and the exercise will be beneficial. Hope things improve for you.
