It’s now three divisional play off finals and two Johnstone’s Paint/Bristol Street Motors Trophy’s and they’ve still won the lot.

Scunthorpe v Luton in the Johnstones Paint final.

My ex was a Scunny fan and went down with her. Cracking final. Scunny scored a screamer to make it 2-2 in the dying minutes.

Luton then won in extra time.

She did want me to go to the play off final v Millwall in the same season but it was our final game of the season v West Ham and we needed to win to stay up. Either way, I wanted to be in Boro to celebrate or drown my sorrows. Unfortunately it was the latter! The rest is history, as they say!

Payed and won the 1987 Romford YMCA five-a-side competition, where YMCA B Team beat Keep Fit on pens. I sprained my ankle and ended up in goal. I missed my pen but saved theirs.

Also British Gypsum Cup 1996, played and won. Also played in goal. Cup was presented by Tommy Docherty. I hear he speak fondly of it… 🤣

Chelsea V Liverpool league cup final 2004, Mourinhos first trophy in English football, though it wasn’t won in England! Chelsea fans were obnoxious.

If we get there, in my life time again, I promise not to go, or have my ashes spread on the turf there.

100th cup final between Spurs and Man City ...I was stood and in agony with a bad back and it turned out to be a draw.....
I bought a commemorative medal but that's been lost in time somewhere

I was at that one and can confirm both that, we won it, and didn’t seem to know how to celebrate afterwards.

Stunned, puzzled fans, tipped out into the streets of Cardiff.

I took my family for a curry in Ross on Wye.

If it had been at Wembley, and I was there, we’d have lost…
