Have you been to a football final apart from the Boro

The only one for me was the Germany v Czech final in Euro '96

We walked out after Germany scored the golden goal cos we couldn't bear to see them lifting the trophy :cautious:

No, and apart from some non league, I’ve only been to three matches not involving the Boro in over 50 years, and one of those was work related.

1982 cup final replay, Spurs v QPR. I was living in London.
1984 UEFA cup final second leg at White Hart Lane - Spurs v Anderlecht. I was living about a mile from the ground.
1991 cup winners cup final at Feyenoord - Man U v Barcelona. I was living just outside Amsterdam.

Edit
4 Highland League cup finals
1993 Huntly v Cove Rangers
1995 Cove Rangers v Lossiemouth
1996 Huntly v Cove Rangers
1998 Elgin v Cove Rangers

About a dozen FA Cup Finals and 8 League Cup Finals. Had a Wembley debenture. First final Spurs v Man City in 1981. World Cup Final 1998. Euro Championship Finals 1996 and 2004.

Also went to two Champions League Finals at Wembley. The all German final in 2011 and the Man U v Barcelona game. The Olympic football final at Wembley in 2012. Also went to 2nd leg of UEFA Cup Final in 1984 at Spurs.

world cup 3/4 game in Paris - pretty dull tbh .
Whitby at Wembley - I think it was the FA Vase , possibly 96 ?

Liverpool v Bruges European Cup Final
Liverpool v Sunderland FA Cup final; got free tickets.
Shrewsbury v Bristol Rovers play-off final; first at new Wembley; jolly from my then local in Shrewsbury.
Stockton v Thatcham couple of years ago.

All at Wembley

decent list

Everton v Rapid Vienna in Rotterdam. Mate was working there so 3 of us went for a weekend trip.
Rapid hooligan skinheads were a naughty bunch pre match , wanting trouble.
Got to the ground , only to find we had tickets in the only standing area in the ground , in with the skinheads .
Attacked , and then escorted to the Everton end by riot police.
Everton won , after the game , had a night in Rotterdam , Because we were staying there , a normal night apart from a few scousers looking to sleep anywhere they could. Strange bunch , but favour them to LFC .

San Francisco Blackhawks v Club America [CONCACAF Champs Final] 1992 Spartan Stadium -- when Hugo Sanchez came back to Mexico, scored a hat-trick but still lost.

Liverpool v Bruges European Cup Final

1979 - Liverpool v Bruges European Cup Final - crap match won by a cracking goal.
5 of us went from Boro - a bit hairy at times when we were sussed as being non-scouse with match tickets

Went to the ISPS Handa Final a couple of months ago at North Harbour Stadium.

Wellington gave Auckland City a lesson. Sadly it was the last ever Premiership final in NZ.

I went to the Carling cup final in 2011 arsenal v brum. I was dating a girl who worked for carling. I always joked that I'd wished I'd met her for the Boro V Bolton game😂

I have to say I didn't enjoy it. It's weird watching a cup final with teams you have no interest in.

I have a mate who's a pretty (or very) high flyer in Sony. I've no idea what he does but he's lived in London for 30 years and owns 3 propertys. He used to always get champions league tickets for free. He flew to Moscow for the Man UTD final for on a corporate bash. I guess not bad for a little torag from Boro😂

Yeah, Blackpool play-off finals, three of them. They won them all. Family friends made sure I went to the third one (Championship play-off) after I was there when they won the other 2.

As an aside, been to a fair few Blackpool matches and only saw them lose once and that was to us when Caryol scored. So yeah, official mascot ;)

Was extremely strange seeing a team win at Wembley. Was pleased for them, yet sick as a chip at the same time.
