Have we set a record here with Djed Spence ?

We want him to be outstanding, score 30 goals , run into the crown and mouth to mouth save someone’s life , fly to Russia kill putin and cure cancer .
maybe then wilder will get £5million from his £300million sale to spend on new seating or something else that makes no difference to the team

Unfortunately he didn't want to play for us (well warnock). I have no real issue with the loan other than its turned out to be a direct rival.

I doubt we could have known that. Did anyone predict forest may go up? I doubt they were in many peoples predictions under Houghton.

I would rather he was ripping it up at Preston or Hull. Yet I doubt he would have got as much media exposure. The cup run helped (like it did with a few of ours).

The funny thing is he would have been every bit as good in a Wilder side. Although we can't moan to much with the success of Jones. I'm pretty sure we would have dragged him back in Jan and cashed in if we could have. That would have weakened forest and given us a payday. Unfortunately who would buy him if he couldn't play for 6 months.

I think we have got slightly 'lucky' as in we could very easily sold him to forest last summer. I'm sure if they had offered 3-5mil warnock would have drove him😂. Imagine if we had and he was sat on a 4 year deal at Forest and they were going to cash in at 20mil+. He's at least still ours and we had the sense to almost make him sign a new deal as part of the loan (makes you wonder whether someone thought he may do well).
 
I think Wilder must have had a conversation with him or his agent which much have resulted in him saying he didn’t want to come back here and if forced then wouldn’t give 100%. Otherwise why not have him back? Surely him or Jones could play on the other wing.

I agree that Boro want the fee for Spence to rise and thus get more cash for him, but surely Boro have already suffered a loss with Spence up there inspiring Forest who are 3rd in the league whereas we are 8th, and we have just lost 2 home games, games in which Spence could have been in our side for the obviously missed talisman Isaiah Jones.

I think you could be right. Spence couldn’t wait to get out of town. Someday it will all come out. 😳
