Hats off to the Spa Hotel Saltburn!

Really disappointing attitude from you @newyddion.

We all know it's wrong. So does the Spa at Saltburn because they've said so.

So if you agree it’s wrong.. you cannot be disappointed with my attitude.
Absolutely bizarre that people have a go at those trying to help those in dire need for support by claiming they are condoning the need for these “warm rooms”.

It’s a disgrace they are needed, as with good banks, but those helping out should not be questioned.

As usual in this country the finger of blame is pointed at the people affected rather than the people who create the problems. We see it with crime, strikes and now warm rooms!

Strange logic.
bizarre indeed, again I’m certainly not having a go at the spa (two, three, four times now?) nor would I be pointing the finger at those affected.

I suppose what Newy was saying was right, the government knows that the good people of Britain will put their hands in their pockets to help those that can't help themselves. You only have to browse the papers to see the good deeds of others and I was taking my hat off to them.

Newy - I think we both need to make a truce on this topic, after all, we're both batting for the same team.
I said the very same.. glad you’ve had chance to actually read my posts this morning.

No I think you're agreeing with The Spa that it's wrong. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't commend their initiative which I don't think you have done as far as I can see.

And in response to my initial post you said "and everyone is just fine with all the warm spaces stuff!"

That was a statement, not a question.

So I'm disappointed that you accused me of being 'fine' with it which is so far from the truth it's laughable.

I liked your opening post.

How far do you want me to go with commending common decency?

I wonder how people would feel if let’s say.. a father struggling to find work needed £20 to keep the electricity meter running for the weekend. Basically to keep his family warm and give his family a very basic warm meal. For this £20 he was asked to drop of a dozen used tyres off at a well known dumping area..

Maybe he should have drove to Saltburn for a warm instead?

You stated that I cannot be disappointed with your attitude.
I told you why I was.
I get why you're angry, we all are to certain degrees.

I think we can sometimes get blinded by the kindness of others. No one in their right mind would dispute that what Saltburn Spa is doing is the right thing to do.. I don’t think many would dispute that they shouldn’t have to do it.

Who’s fault is it?
What can be done?

Energy prices need to be capped, those responsible for allowing this situation need turning out of office ASAP.
