Has anyone hit the ignore button on anybody - don't be shy

I think the ignore button is just plain daft. Would also make threads difficult to follow if you are a bit trigger happy.

You auditioning?

Seriously though, I asked a very polite question of a couple of posters on the other board and it has been ignored, but one of the posters in question has posted several one word insult responses to others since.

If that poster behaves like that on here and refuses to engage in proper discussion then what would I miss if I hit the Ignore button on them?

The majority of threads here reflect multiple rational, often articulate, views which are a pleasure to read, especially after some of the vitriol and infantile efforts on the old site. Maybe just the threat of the ignore button is enough of a deterrent? If that’s the case, I’m all for it.

You may be right. OP are you testing the water?

I’m the same. Wouldn’t use it for the shameless Borisettes and Brexiteers but when EP and the “comedy” set migrate it’ll be handy to get rid of their pointless input.

Nowt a matter with Piff hes not a bad lad in general and likes a laugh. Hes good at film synopsis and is rarely abusive.

I like the light hearted posters ST. Ive seen people telling us what part to post on and how they are going to blank this one and that one, and if they see that one appear. Most of them bore the fkin pants off the last board.

I don't mind EP one bit

I just find him dull and pointless. I don’t get jokey characters. I think I like “normal” chat on here. To each their own I guess. At least I won’t have to read another commented about farting form him.
