Hancock acted unlawfully in giving Tory cronies contracts

Typical Tory stuff on this thread I’m afraid.

Carefully dragging the debate down to the lowest common denominator so the original, rather serious issue, is forgotten in a mud of denial, confusion and whitewash.

We all know corruption is notoriously difficult to prove.

There has obviously been some instructions from Tory HQ sent out to the cult on what line to take on Matt Hancock and you see some of it above, these aren’t just posters putting a bit of comment on a football message board, these are propoganda merchants at work defending the party line.
Agreed.

Good Law Project has been granted a cost capping order of £250,000. They are still a little short but can carry on fighting, and it's much less than the £1m that the Gov' said it would cost.

Hancock has repeatedly claimed the average delay in publishing documents was "about a fortnight". In fact by November the average time was 78 days

Just seems heavy handed to me. Why not post a warning on the thread telling people to relax rather than just wielding the old banning button. I think the correct verb would be “to moderate”. I dislike this process immensely.

3 people on this thread have been given short term suspension from posting, largely because they struggle to keep things civil. Two of them acting like Tory shills, which is not welcome.
I’d been loosely following the thread and without going back through it in its entirity, I don’t recall anything too OTT from any posters.

I understand there are differences of opinions but I didn’t notice anything that got too out of hand. I’ve certainly seen worse before and while I fundamentally disagree with those blinkered folk who refuse to criticise this shower of a govt no matter what, as long as they don’t overstep the mark and get personal with insults, they shouldn’t IMHO be refused a voice albeit temporarily.

If I have missed something though then just ignore what I’ve said.

These three are still banned with no inkling as to how long the bans will last and no reply to emails sent to admin. Is left-wing fascism a plausible ideology? This board is giving it a good go.

I suspect Rob and other admins are not immune to lockdown fever either. They just have the power to naught step someone. Whilst I vehemently disagree with the tory ideology, I would defend peoples right to shill all they want. It definately adds some colour to the board.

Unban 'em Rob. We want justice for all not just the god fearin' left.

Well said mate

Why lads cannot say oops sorry is beyond me. One phrase was bordering if not actual libel. It was then defended. Just delete it and move on.

I always like the odd balls, as long as there is no racist intent.

I don't know for certain who's on the naughty step but I can guess.

@borolad259 any chance of letting these posters back on the board sometime soon? (y)

Agree 100%.

Kenya are in the midst of a PPE scandal.

Drs have been on strike as they have inadequate PPE, have had to make it last days at a time etc. Warehouses are full of PPE but it is so expensive that the hospitals won't buy. Turns out that government officials formed companies & won Govt contracts to acquire PPE for the hospitals & are seeking to profit from the pandemic.

A British journalist questioning the Kenyan Health Minister was told that they were in no place to criticise as the UK government has done the same.
