Hall out for a few weeks

Suspected calf tear and is having a scan in the week. Expected to be out for a few weeks.

Fortunately Fry is back and looked good yesterday so should be like for like, but the only other defender we have is Wood. Another injury at the back and we are screwed, and will probably have to revert to 4 at the back.

Hopefully we can get another centre back and a left back in ASAP.

Like you say Fry is back, and Wood looks a good prospect - and Howson also played there a lot last season
So it's a blow, but hopefully the above can fill in if need be
International break after Saturday gives Hall an extra week too
 
Great chance for Fry to get up and running. I don't realise he had covid in pre season until yesterday (was it common knowledge?)

It still leaves us a CB short. I'm not convinced Wood would be a longterm back up.

Wood has looked decent whenever he has played. Would much rather give him a chance than to go and sign some 30plus player on a free
 
Shame he’s going to be out but the international break should mean he shouldn’t miss to much action as saying above. I’ve been really impressed so far. I like him. Astute signing
 
I was thinking that myself. If he’s got nothing lined up, mebbe a contract till January would suit both parties.
Wouldn’t need to settle in better the devil you know !
