We were after him in 2016 and were in pole position at one point.. instead he joined Ajax for €11m money we later went on to spend on Guedioura & Gestede
A few canny names were linked around the time as I remember Dennis Praet & Aissa Mandi - I guess that is the difference between us and the likes of Wolves. Being able to bring in quality and not rocking up to the prem with the raggy dolls.
