Bit OTT, I'm not sure someone with a reaction as strong as this to a perfect reasonable post would be great at the helm either lol
 
Even after monk spunked all the money we have always invested to varying levels. If we buy a player it will be to what we can afford and if we fail still allow us to meet the regulations.

Gibson may make bad choices but he never jeopardises the club.
 
My guess is that any transfer fee for this player will be in the £12m to £15m - he's a bit flavour of the month - he may prove to be a £30m Premier League striker or the next Gestede.

My gut feeling is to look for several other cheaper less tried options (Stuani, Ramariz, Kike, Balogun loan) instead of one big purchase, but of course that has its risks too.

I think you’re right - i don’t think there’s another championship club, not even the ones who’ve just come down, who’d consider spending that much on one player while they’re in the second tier

I think most of them are too old and I woukdnt take balogun again😛

Tbh I'd take Stuani back

Talk of £4.65m - £7.4m still seems heavy for Gyokores. One decent Championship season for him to be sold to another championship side.

£3m would be sensible (not that they have to sell) £4m they would be getting a great deal, £5m would be amazing. £6m we talking lower end prem and £7m is silly money.

Hugill £3m
Nugent £4m
Bamford £5.5m
Gestede £6m
Fletcher £7m
Bamford £7m
Hugill £9m

£8m to £12m is cuckoo land
£10m to £15m would be crazy for a prem team
£20m to £25m is just nowhere near the realms of reality for me.
