I tink that ship has sailed. I'm sure 'bigger' clubs with more money will have noticed him. I can see one of the promoted clubs going for him.

Our recruitment of forwards has been very poor. I know there is luck in any transfer but we have recruited badly in the last decade.

He's a good player, but I think signing other championship Clubs best players is an unproductive approach.
You always pay top whack for them and there's no guarantee they bring their form with them.
If we expect £15-20 million for a top championship RB, how much more would Coventry want for a top championship goal scorer?
Furthermore, they only sign for you is no PL clubs are in for them. That often means they don't have PL potential

They paid about 1 million for him and an acceptable fee of 20 million for Coventry was talked about in January. I think he is way out of our range unless we go up.

and earlier in the season he didnt score a goal for 3 and a half months - boro fans would slaughter a striker who did that in a boro shirt - this bloke would be no different - his worth to coventry is more than we would be wanting or willing to pay for him.
