Gyokeres. Armstrong, Larsen...? No, Forss & Hoppe...

Naturally I hope I'm wrong but I can't see the two strikers we've actually landed have the goods to fire us to promotion. Forss, let go by West Brom, came through Brentford's B Team and did ok when he got a run out without any sense that they or their fans were begging him stay. Hoppe, let go by LA Galaxy, did ok-ish at Schalke then bombed at Mallorca. It's hard not to conclude we're getting other team's Akpoms while while genuinely lethal strikers slip through our fingers yet again...

Right now, if I was a neutral I wouldn't fancy us because you can't say it looks as if we've remedied the problem that's plagued us for years: scoring enough goals. Drive for show, putt for dough...

I’m ok with Forss and Hoppe coming in but as you say we need someone (preferably two) who have shown they can get well into double figures in this league. Let’s hope we can pull something big out of the bag

Both internationals so must have something about them.
Forss has scored in the Championship, Hoppe (briefly) in the Bundesliga.
Both young, £5.5m for the pair of them..... remember we got a few million off Mel Morris and also the Spence loan fee. So we haven't even touched the £22.5m Spence / Tav money.....

I'm okay with this type of signing, but we do need a more experienced forward in as well.

Not many teams in the Championship have two young International strikers. One who has come from a Premier League squad and one who has already played in the Bundesliga and La Liga. Even I could score with the balls Giles puts in.
We had that last season. They were *****.

If we lined up with Gyökeres, Muniz, Forss, Hoppe and Watmore then I’d be happy. Forss and Hoppe have signed (99% likely for Hoppe🤣) Muniz looks set to sign on loan when Fulham get a replacement in. Watmore is a good rotational striker and I’d send coburn on loan. I’d take Armstrong/Larson. Larson especially excites me, we all need to be positive UTB. Must say, the way Gyökeres scored a goal out of nothing outside the box was something that I could get used to seeing. Would love to splash out and sign him, 10 million bid to test the waters. Any striker we sign surely cannot be worse value for money than Aaron Connolly👍

Lets not forget the man everyone is touting as the ideal Boro player (Gyokeres), had no goal scoring record prior to last season yet we should be potential paying 15m for him, lets give these players a chance we will create chances and if they arre composed they will score goals!

We will not be spending 10-15m on a player so I can only assume unless its a loan, people will be disappointed with our transfers, lets hope these players flourish in a Boro team!

Nothing worse than having the highest salary bill in the league yet playing like the cheapest (thanks asssombolnga and Fletcher)

The chances Giles and Jones are laying on, if they can't score they may as well pack in.

I don't get this, why would any of those strikers want to come to Boro and be rotated or sit on the bench, we've had too much rotation in the last few seasons, we need 2 strikers that play the majority of the season that can be part of a settled team.

We don't need 5.

Forss and Hoppe look like exciting players with a big future

Not bothered who comes in as long as they want to be here 👌

For the way we play, there is no way that playing 46 games most Saturdays and Tuesdays can keep up with the demands of the championship playing a high pressing Chris Wilder team mate. Some of them I mentioned are not good enough to start for a team chasing promotion. From the off Watmore, Forss and Hoppe would be the weakest out of the ones I said Gyökeres and Muniz would start, but they need the chance to rotate…

You never know these youngsters might hit the ground running they will getting plenty of service and they can't be worse than Connolly and ballagun. We still need more quality in midfield we are desperate for a high quality player in there
