Would be a dream pairing for us
Let’s hope it happens

In 05-06 we had Yakubu, Maccarone and Nemeth as well, along with Job out on loan. Crazy times! We've had the dream pairing JFH and Viduka ... that was some summer

I'd quite happily take Yakubu and Maccarone up front now!
Forgot about him, which is mad considering how well he did after he left us, he ended up as a prem striker too for a few years. We also had Danny Graham in reserve!
Indeed it was. Keith Lamb's best moment - being interviewed by Sky after the first and saying something like "see you again tomorrow..."We've had the dream pairing JFH and Viduka ... that was some summer
We've had a few dream pairings
Clough / Peacock
Big John/ O'Rourke ..... Horsefield
Big John/ Foggon
Bernie/ Archie
Hendrie/Wilko
I'm sure l've missed a few
JFH/Viduka
Then the pairings and the goals seemed to evaporate

Did Ripley and Hendrie both play in the same team? Weren't they both right wingers? How did that work. My memory of Hendrie is that he played on the wing for us until Robson moved him up front. But I was a kid then and can't really remember.Wilko and Bernie wasnt a bad partnership too but they had Ripley and Hendrie supplying the chances (91/92 is one of my favourite seasons following the Boro)
You could argue Beck/Merson before the goals dried up and Branco/Riccard/Armstrong were brought in to get us over the line plus we had Higgy regularly scoring too

Killen put a shift in, played centre half and cost pretty much nothing compared to those other names. Very harsh. It went t!ts up when we signed the likes of Mido, Aliadiere, (Project) Emnes, Alves, Boyd, Killen and Miller ... I wont include Tuncay, McDonald and Lita as they put in a shift
I remember Marlon King scoring against Hull after super George Boateng slipped.Kitson scored 3 in 6, killen 3 in 17 but as you say it doesnt mean he didnt try
Didnt we also have marlon king the season we went down?
EDIT killen's record elsewhere wasnt too bad
