Last week there was the earthquake epicentre beneath Stockton, next Wednesday there will be shock waves emanating from beneath Roseberry Topping as Super Furry Animal himself, Gruff Rhys will be playing in the Parochial Hall in Great Ayton.
This is part of the Watermill Session a music project taking music out far beyond the urban fringes to areas and people and indeed buildings that may previously have been starved of original, live music makers.
The Sessions have been a rip roaring success. Next week's is a guaranteed sell out.
I asked Elaine Palmer, the energy behind the Watermill Sessions, what it was all about and my starter for Ten was where does the name come from.
As it turns out there is an awful lot in a name. Here is the interview and gig details through this LINK
- hurry though very few tickets left

Although not a fan of him or SFA this is a massive coup for Elaine. Well done. This is the first I have heard of this and gutted to see I missed King Creosote and Lake Poets amongst others. Will watch for future events.

For those lucky enough to have bought tickets it has been confirmed that...

"Really excited to announce that the amazing Kliph Scurlock (The Flaming Lips) will be playing drums/percussion tomorrow night at our Watermill Sessions show with Gruff Rhys - Watermill Sessions & Off The Beaten Track.."

A tremendous drummer and personality - Kliph accompanied Gruff on his American Interior tour. Here they are in ACTION
