Unpopular opinion - never impressed with the John Hendrie goal v Millwall. Only goes past one tackle as most of the team run away from him.

That was unbelievably good but this other last day free kick v Man City is even better. Especially so because it meant something. There was no pressure on Rochemback scoring that day.
Some great football player that season. That team was capable of really top quality stuff. This one looked below was the best of them in my opinion. Still baffles me how this team got relegated.

Just for sheer quality (the move from left to right) I still love Terry Cochrane’s goal v Chelsea (1978) capped off a great move as TC went past two Chelsea players and hit an unstoppable left footed shot from 25 yards.

My shout would be Juninho's goal against Manchester United in the 1996/97 season at Old Trafford.
Brilliant interchange of passing down the right hand side between Fleming, Stamp and Emerson, then a couple of quick 1-2 passes from Juninho, Rav and Hignett allowed the Brazilian through to slot past Schmeichel with easel into the far corner.
I was bouncing about in the living room when that went in.
If only we could have held on for the win, eh.

Massimo against Steaua Bucharest all day every,dont think a Boro goal will ever mean as much.
If you read the context in Roy of the Rovers you would have thought it was far fetched.
In 46 years of watching the Boro that goal was the most iconic by a mile,so for me the ultimate Boro goal.
