Great T20 game tonight v the Aussies

Even though just 20 overs for each side the game ebbed and flowed. No matter the duration of games I always find them a fascinating watch. Great comeback by our lads, very disciplined to get over the line.

Exciting stuff, great viewing, could hardly have been closer. Well done England!
 
England had no right to win that, massive effort to drag themselves back into it when the Aussies looked like they were cruising.
 
I watched from the start to finish and felt we had left ourselves 20 runs short to give us a fighting chance. At one point it looked like the Aussie's would knock them off in 15 overs and then we started to take vital wickets.

It was another great game that spectators missed out on.

There should be a fly on the wall camera on Ricky Pontin when we beat them. I went to put a film on and the wife said 'lets watch the Aussie's faces first.'
 
If I was an Aussie after last night I would be a bit worried.

That was arguably their best T20 lineup and that wasn't anywhere near our best T20 team and they choked massively.

What was it they needed? 39 off 35? What an absolute collapse that is!

Great how our bowlers dug deep and restricted them to just singles over a spell of 4-5 overs. If we have any weaknesses in our T20 squad, it's our bowlers IMO and we managed to get through a tough spell last night.

Malan keeps surprising me too. Cracking knock again and thoroughly deserved MotM.
 
Great game. Malan was possibly Man of the match , but Jonny Bairstow did himself no favours by getting out out early and it seems he's lost the 'keeper's job for England in all forms of the game.

It was especially good because at one time it looked as though the main 2 sandpaper cheats were going to bat together and carry the Aussies thru to a win.
