Middlesbrough has never had anyone in these positions of authority who are not in it for themselves. MPs, Mayors, councillors.
So the best thing is for us to have someone in those positions who also wants the best for the town and will improve things for everyone alongside their dodgy self embellishing. It’s the best we can hope for.
Preston has presided over some decent investment in the town and some improvement of run down areas, whether that’s him or others who’re responsible he’s still been at the front claiming credit.
We’ve had such s**t leaders over the years any improvements to the town is fine by me after years of decline. I’d have him for another term.
