Government imploding

When Johnson's pet MSM cheerleader Laura Kuenssberg is dishing out dirt it must be bad -

"more than half the Cabinet have no clue what's going on".

"It's a mess," says one minister.

"the government is still scrambling, two months in, to fix problems that were there from the start: grappling with care homes, providing enough testing, and enough protective gear.

She's been very careful to insert plenty of disclaimers in there about historic systems allegedly not being in place from the very start, thus letting Johnson off the hook, mind.

The government has been caught with its pants down by this crisis, despite warnings.

A crisis costing ~50000 lives, £100s of Billions and countless job losses so far is a result of a lack of preparedness.

Excuses will be made and responsibility shirked, but if C19 crisis is going to be likened to a "war" then we should have had a pandemic responce to match the resources put into Trident. Afterall, this war against a virus was much more likely than nuclear war.

Doesn’t let Johnson off the hook at all, see the footage of his statements on Charlie Brookers anti viral wipe tonight

I'm referring to the Kuenssberg article as quoted, which does include lots of 'extenuating circumstances', 'all countries are having difficulties' type stuff. Haven't seen the programme.

Yes what the Government are doing in boycotting GMB and the very critical Piers Morgan is to ensure that reporters from the BBC and other channels make sure they tread on egg shells when dealing with Johnson Cummings et al. Kuenssberg has made her name on getting interviews with Johnson and receiving leaks and exclusives from Cummings.

The BBC are supposed to be impartial. It makes me really sad that their current affairs output has become so widely distrusted.

The BBC has not been impartial for a long time HVegas. They have just continued their attack on the Government as a continuation of their anti Brexit barrage.

For someone to look on Laura K as a Boris Johnson cheerleader throws a touch of doubt into the sense of any of their contributions.

The lovely Laura is undoubtedly a Johnson supporter, she was all over him in the election campaign, she isn’t daft though and knows the tide has turned in terms of the perception of his leadership, he and the Tories are in deep, deep trouble so she is ‘repositioning‘ herself.

The trident point you raise is valid, and puts that whole nuclear endeavour in perspective. For me, and I know not everyone agrees, but spending in excess of 5 billion on d*ck waving when your populace are in clear and present danger now looks foolish in the extreme.

Don’t worry he will be let off the hook all the clairvoyant boristas will be all over it with 7 little words.

it would have been worse under labour!

The BBCs political programming in recent years:

1) Showed the wrong footage of Boris at the cenotaph to avoid his embarrassment
2) Edited out the sound of the audience laughing at Boris in the debates
3) Didn't bother getting Boris in for an interview with Andrew Neil in the run up to the 2019 election
4) Had the host of Question Time revving up the audience to attack the Labour representative - who also happened to be the MP that routinely receives more hate mail and death threats than any other MP
5) Coordinated having a Labour member of the shadow cabinet resign their position live on air
6) Edited footage of Corbyn answering a question about armed police responses to change the context
7) When discussing Corbyn on BBC News showed his image with an edited in backdrop of Moscow

The BBC is biased alright.

It's been clear for the last couple of years which way she sways. She was without doubt anti Corbyn in the extreme, and being the politics editor she's deciding what's been going out.

Billy you're right.

She also doxxed the new father that had a go at Boris in a hospital, the time when Boris said "there's no press here" despite the dad being able to point to the television camera crew.
