Seems that there have been a number of 'leaks' over the last few days, which suggests the cabinet, and Johnson in particular, are deeply unhappy with Hancock's handling of the Covid crisis, or words to that effect.

Seems like he's going to be the sacrificial lamb to the slaughter.
 
I saw that coming a ways back. Johnson is cleverly manipulating those around him to be at front and centre - thus when the shït comes it will stick to them first. He is no leader and only ever wanted the position, not the responsibility it entails.
 
What perplexes me is how long running Tories and the donators haven't plotted against Boris yet? He's clearly dragging them down to a depth they might not ever recover from on our lifetime.

I'm not so sure there isn't lots of plotting going on in the background and for what its worth I honestly think that when this is all over, they'll slaughter him. It doesn't make sense at the moment for any Tory to try and orchestrate moves to remove him though. He's in the firing line and lets face it, who would want to sit in No. 10 right now? I doubt even Michael Gove would want the job until this is all over.
 
They have a couple of years to let him get through this, make a cackhanded job of Brexit, then get shot before turning up with yet another leader to face the electorate with "Wasn't me, guv" as an election slogan.

Which is the wrong way round. As much as Johnson, Hancock, Pratel, Raab, etc. have shown themselves to be incompetent and unpalatable, there is none so despicable and unwelcome as Gove. An utter s**t weasel

On a side note though, how much of this sunday announcement debacle is a result of the press pushing for answers when the questions are not even fully understood by those who are supposed to be in a position to answer?

If you're going to take a shįt, get your trousers round your ankles first and don't let the press put greased handcuffs on you before you try to unbuckle your belt
