Good night

Bloody dog is whining and whimpering again cos his owners have gone out.

Not annoying me today though 👍
Is there a chance you could do oth of you the world of good by nipping over the fence and spending some time playing and interacting with the dog or perhaps have a word with the neighbours and tell them to drop the dog off with you if they’re going out for any length of time?

Most of us are good folks weemoby. I see people being nice and helping each other all the time.

I think most of us have also been affected by mental health issues either directly or indirectly and it is heartbreaking.
I like your attitude, I agree with you in that I like to think that the good people on Planet Earth far outnumber the 'bad' people.

It's just that the 'bad' people tend to be more vocal and the press loves bad news, so it's easy to think we good folk are outnumbered.

Take care one and all - I hope today is better day for you than yesterday was.

I’d rather not get involved. Whilst It’s annoying it’s obviously just a whiny needy dog that really doesn’t like being left alone. Plus I’m already a free dog sitter for my brother….

Have you contacted your local crisis team Aet? And I would echo the remarks voiced earlier about speaking with your GP and then HR about getting some time off work to do things that actually do lift your mood. Anxiety and depression are illnesses that are taken seriously now. Well done for reaching out here and well done for surviving .... I know a fair few people who have bad days like that and who have actually survived their own suicide attempts. They are grateful, most days, that they did.

Reading this thread reaffirms my faith in the board. I was of the old fashioned "pull yourself together" school of psychiatry until several friends and relatives suffered serious problems. Then I realised just how fragile the human psyche is, and how many people are affected by illnesses such as this.
Well done to aet for having the guts to come on here and tell us how he feels. Hope you feel better soon, keep posting.

Hi Borolad. Yes I’ve been in contact with the crisis team in the past. Don’t recall the circumstances if I’m being honest. I do remember there was no continuation of care and it was very much reactive but I guess that’s the nature of the beast.

On reflection I probably needed the continuation of care…

Head over to the thread about tattoos. Your faith in this board will soon vanish. Whole lotta nastiness and horrible condescending judgemental comments going on there.
You do sometimes get extremes I'm afraid....
It can be like LOVE and HATE at times...😉

Hope you're ok anyway 👍

Today has been a good day.

I’m a whole lot better than I was.

I have no idea what tomorrow will bring I just hope it’s not a bad one. I’ll know when I wake up.
That's good aet I think I've said it before but it's not one thing that will make you feel better. It's a whole range of things that come together to affect your well-being so you have to look at things holistically if possible.
I know if you've got physical health problems it's very draining, but long term anxiety stress and depression can do strange things to your body as well.
All the best 👍

This is the problem Nobby. And I’m all too aware of it.

I felt sh1te yesterday thanks to my ear infection and no respite so felt suicidal.

This morning I woke up felt fine (ish) so could cope.

Monday night was horrendous. I’d have jumped in the lake if I could

Yeah that infection on top of everything else is difficult I agree but it will get better so give yourself some time...Sounds like exercise can work for you so maybe try and do a bit of that if the health problem allows. Get enough sleep, eat healthy, avoid alcohol, engage with others, spend time with family etc. Put it all together and it can work. Medication and talking therapies can also be helpful (for some people)....

Paying for a physio and that seems to have had an effect since my first session.

Problem I have with exercise is I know if I was fit I’m capable of much more so I am frustrated which adds to the anxiety. I walked 6 miles tonight when a few months ago i could have easily jogged it. Sadly I can’t run at all at the moment.

Don’t mention alcohol.

Yeah it's a massive depressant, anxiety inducing etc etc. I'm not gonna preach as I'm sure you already know..
Try fizzy mineral water, maybe with a dash of lime. Seems to trick the brain, must be the bubbles 👍

Morning aet and all board members, those with tattoos those without, those vaccinated and unvaccinated the tory voters amongst us, the extreme left and the centerists.

It's a beautiful morning.

You forgot to mention people who watched the Hundred last night and didn’t like it 👍

I bought some schloer instead of wine because it was on offer in Tesco last night. Necked the bottle in about 10 mins. That went well. 😂
