Good luck Emma 🇬🇧

What a battle that was, the ferocity of their shots for the whole match, no pitty patty stuff with soft serves either. Even more enjoyable there was little of the grunting some players do, or certainly not at the volume level of some.
Get ready for the GB press to go mental

Immense pressure incoming, especially from the likes of the BBC Sport team

Instant millionaire and new superstar. Just smiling through it!

Hopefully more to come.
She was gonna make millions anyway from endorsements i’m sure.

She’s a absolute marketing dream for those that’ll want to endorse her, from her talent to her looks and personality.

SPOTY ???
Has to be.

what’s massively impressive is how she exited from Wimbledon to doing this, Incredible really.

I’d imagine for 99.9% of people, that would stay with them and affect future pressure situations, even good athletes.

That’s why I believe she will go on to win even more. Only the elite have that mental strength to shake off something like that.

Jim Courier talking a lot of sense about his hopes for Emma, especially regarding what the media could have in store for her (including becoming click bait).

Only unfortunate aspect is that she went to a selective grammar school instead of a Comprehensive.

And still, one of the commentators on the BBC News Channel last night says...'who'd have thought a girl from a grammar school could do that'

That quote alone illustrates what a sad country this is and why it needs flattening.

There's nothing unfortunate about tonight.

Hard work and dedication brought that performance tonight.
