I think it's great to see slender, athletic ladies play powerful tennis rather than the powerhouses we've seen over the years. This could be a rivalry for the next few years and that would be no bad thing

$2.5m!2 million dollars, not bad for a qualifier
Wimbledon don’t do it, too classy.$2.5m!
My Mrs just said there really wasn't any need to mention the size of the cheque.

Immense pressure incoming, especially from the likes of the BBC Sport teamWhat a battle that was, the ferocity of their shots for the whole match, no pitty patty stuff with soft serves either. Even more enjoyable there was little of the grunting some players do, or certainly not at the volume level of some.
Get ready for the GB press to go mental
She was gonna make millions anyway from endorsements i’m sure.Instant millionaire and new superstar. Just smiling through it!

There's nothing unfortunate about tonight.Only unfortunate aspect is that she went to a selective grammar school instead of a Comprehensive.
And still, one of the commentators on the BBC News Channel last night says...'who'd have thought a girl from a grammar school could do that'
That quote alone illustrates what a sad country this is and why it needs flattening.
