Golf is back

I went crazy today. Never had a round like it. Playing at the muni and I know we are hitting raised raised cups with our puts rather than down the hole but even so.
Playing off 17 I went round in 76 and 48 points.
Just prior to lockdown a mate pointed something out that was killing my drives, I'm hitting my drives nearly 100 yds further. Can't wait for the proper stuff to start. I reckon I could get down to 14 this season.
 
That's my target this year.. get to 14 and from there ideally single figures in the next 2 years.. I'd be happy there because the extra you've got to really learn to get lower I just don't have time for
 
Shot 79 today and well chuffed.

Also found a World Cup Winner’s golf ball on the way round (he’s a member at my club)

Was up early to play a singles match play match teeing off at 9:30am. Giving 4 shots.

Lost the first two holes. Then bounced between 1 & 3 down on the front 9. Finishing front 9 at 2 down. Got it back to even by the 15th. Then won the 16th & 17th to win 2&1. Happy bunny.
 
I played today - first game since the lockdown 66 days ago. Lots of people rushing out to get a game, some strange swings and shots after all this time.

Enjoyed it though.
 
Played a friendly 4 ball today. Just 9 holes this morning as it was supposed to windy later.

Beat our friends 3&1 in pairs match play.

Was 1 worse than my handicap after 8 holes. The final hole is a long par 4.

I was just off the fairway in the rough. About 190 yards from the middle of a 30 yard long the green. With out of bounds about another 15 yards beyond the green. Took a 5 iron and knocked it out of bounds at the back. More than 220 yards away. I was gobsmacked as my regular distance for a 5 iron is 170m (about 187 yards).

Just been informed that Spain is changing over to the World Handicap System on Monday 1 June 2020.

Good news for me is I get an extra 1/2 shot or so. The bad news is the person I am playing against in our match play competition next Saturday is getting 2 extra shots back.
 
Think ill be going for a fitting next year when i've had a years playing under my belt.. Changed to my dads old Callaway Razr Fit Xtreme on Thursday and seen a huge difference, ended up shooting my best score at the muni of 98 (My goal this year was to break 100, only started playing in Feb)
