Golf is back

Theyre back on at my course, albeit out the side of the driving range in a 2m cordon that the coach can’t enter. I’ve got one on Wednesday.

knocked 5 shots off my best ever round yesterday, despite a triple bogey on the last hole!

For anybody fancying a whack and some exercise.

Shot a 41 front 9 at the Muni on Sunday, and was all geared up for breaking 85, but followed it with a 50 on the back 9

Nooo!!! Was it a bad hole or just running out of steam?

Breaking 85 is such a milestone too.

My mental strength in golf is pathetic, which is strange as it's good in every other aspect of life!

I had a nightmare on the 10th, shot an 8 on the Par 4, which broke me, then didn't hit another good shot for the next 3 holes, so followed with bogey, double, double. Came back into it a bit, then got a triple on the 18th.

Handicap wise it adjusted out to about 88 I think, which has been about 4 shots better than my current 24 handicap, based on the SSS 68/ Par 71. Although in reality I'm probably closer to a 20 handicap the way I'm playing, and not far off my best of 18 which was about 6 years ago when I stopped playing for about 3 years.

I've broke 85 a couple of times, but that was a long time ago, so I'm kind of ignoring that now. I reckon I can get a low 80's this year, it's definitely in there once I can do some putting practice and get my chipping back to how it was. I want to break 80 next year.
