Not bad being able to pick a previous world cup final winning goalscorer.

He was a really good player, and good to see he may be getting back to where he once was.

He's nailed on to score against us, knocking us out in a Semi or something!

Interesting mix isn’t it. I’m glad goetze has over come his troubles/problems.

I like kimmich though I think he’s a great talent and heir to Lahm

Interesting to see Germany the ultimate planners are playing 1 warm up game as well.

They are set to play a warm-up game against Oman on 16 November.

Goetze's demons was actually the rare metabolic illness myopathy, "a muscle disorder which can cause fatigue and weight gain."

I mean he was depressed because of his injuries illness I wasnt implying they were self inflicted. Problems was perhaps a better word.

Either way im pleased for him

Got to see Göetze in the flesh the other week for Frankfurt vs Monchengladbach. Nice to have him back, and also looking forward to seeing some others who stood out that day - Trapp, Lindstrom and Kamada.

I think his WC winning goal was fantastic but it seems to be a little underrated because it wasn't an individual effort or a long range shot. It was really well taken though.

think Julian Brandt from Dortmund looks like brilliant footballer lovely touches on the the ball
I mentioned before but quite a few of the young uns who played at the the U21 game at riverside have now become regulars with the senior side.

They do have some good youngsters and as ever will be a threat who ever they play.

I agree, there's more class/ skill/ technical ability in that, than hitting 1/100 into the top corner from 30 yards.

Must long-shot goals are largely luck, there haven't been many good enough to hit the top corners with accuracy, and reliably. Maybe Beckham was one of them, but even he could only really do it from a dead ball.

The ones known for scoring lots of long rangers, only score more long rangers as they take loads more shots.

They've got Muller though, you just know he will put the ball in the net when it matters most, like he has been doing for the last 40 years of his professional career (at least it seems like he's been playing that long).
He famously missed that one on one against us in the Euros though didn’t he? That was the moment I knew the tide had turned!
