A group of us have had a debate, over recent weeks to decide the best British player since the 70's

For clarity, we excluded players who's peak had been in the 60s even if they continued to play on into the 70s. This, therefore, meant that Best, Moore, Charlton, Banks etc were not included.

Some good efforts, here. I can confirm that Dalglish came out in first spot.
He made his debut v the mighty Boro at AP & scored in a 1-1 draw, with Davey Armstrong getting our equaliser, also the late John Neals & John Mahoney debut & our new iconic Adidas top
 
Dalglish. In an era where English teams dominated Europe, Liverpool dominated England and Dalglish was the player the Liverpool fans called 'King'.

The only one to come close is Bryan Robson.

Gascoigne, the most talented, but the injury did for him.
