Goalscrounger's 30 Day Music Challenge - Day 25 - Thursday 30th April - A Song About The Weather

Hold on goalscrounger - if you`re going to let other posters by because the word "winter" is in the song I suggest you clarify that and tell everyone. This is a bit of fun, so lets leave it at that.
You had the disadvantage of me knowing that song though!

I dont know what you mean by that - did you think I was playing games with you?
Perhaps you explain how Winter of 79 by Tom Robinson is a weather song?
Or the one about "Smog".
Maybe I can post "smoke gets in your eyes"?
I happen to know Champagne Supernova and in no way is it a "song about weather". I'm more than happy to admit some other songs I am not familiar with have undoubtedly slipped in because if you think I have enough time on my hands to Google every song posted to scrutinize the lyrics then you underestimate how much time this takes me (on top of a full-time job and family responsibilites too) :)

I suggest you treat everyone equally.

The Winter of 79:

This song is from the album Power In The Darkness, released in 1978.
As such, although the lyrics of this song read like a nostalgic look back at a bygone time, it is actually predicting a near dystopia which, given the industrial unrest of the 1978/79 Winter of Discontent and the social and political upheaval following the election of Margaret Thatcher in 1979, proved remarkably prescient.

Co-operation is based on trust. If you choose to be an autocrat on a public forum then you will be challenged.
If its too difficult to look after your family and continue with a job simultaneously with managing the FMTTM forum I suggest you put your feet up.

Thats the end of it. I too have much to do and this forum isnt the centre of my universe.

Good night.

I suggest you treat everyone equally.
