Glastonbury Line Up Out

My brother in law is going to steward. I know the music is not the only thing to see but I’d have liked to have heard of more than 4 acts if I was buying a ticket. The ones I have heard of are “meh” too.

An interesting lineup, no real "must see" bands maybe? Guess Macca would top many people's lists but will it really be better than last time he played?

Kikagaku Moyo are positioned well - they will certainly wake you up.

Will probably watch Kendrick, Big Thief and The Avalanches but not sure I'll be camped in front of iplayer all weekend like usual.

Sugarbabes followed by the Damned is excellent scheduling! :)

I'll admit that this years SD line up is the worst i've known in 7 years of going but i'm still going for the day out with the lads. Music is all about taste like you say, if that glasto was on in the back garden i'd go for a walk out the front. I'm mid 30's, and into my pop punk and rock and usually Slam Dunk has 7/8 really good bands, this year there's only 4 i'm arsed about.
Mid 30s and only listen to two genres of music. Yes, best you stay away from Glastonbury.

Here’s a thought for Friday at The Pyramid Stage - there are always a few surprises

Robert Plant and Allison Kraus have been given 1 hour 15 (unusual)
They finish 19.30
Elvis Costello plays Ipswich that night
How long for a helicopter from Glasto to Ipswich?

Failing that - duet with Macca on Sunday?

RP is at Hyde Park the following night so can’t see him coming back on Sunday for just a cameo.

The strength in depth of that line up is incredible. Friday in particular is something else. I've got clashes left, right and centre.

If you've only heard of 4 acts outs of that entire line up, i can only assume you don't like music

I don't think logistics work for The Smile that weekend.
Good point, Sunday looks free (slotted between Lux and Belgium), it's doable but might need second backline etc.

Gutted I missed them last week in Stockholm (a 700 capacity venue none the less!) but it was a work trip and business dinner took precedence. Also missed seeing Dylan there a couple of years back for the same reason.

Killjoys! :)

Sunday is the TBC for Park Stage.

Does anyone know how you get the Williams Green line up timetable

Found it - Porridge Radio and Jesca Hoop plus another option for Yard Act

was thinking Costello/Maccz
Ah. Costello plays Ipswich on the Wednesday not the Friday. He’s free on Friday and Saturday so could make Robert Plant or Macca without the need for a helicopter. Or indeed do his own gig. He hasn’t played Glastonbury since 2013

Au contraire, I love my music. I just prefer things a bit heavier than these acts. I am firmly in the belief that you can’t compete with Download festival - Donington.
