It’s 2022 and, ok, maybe not the best year ever.
In the scheme of things not the biggest issue in the world but - timely.
There is a live Glasto feed (6 music et al) going out and guess what? some of the artists are pretty emotional and swear.
Everytime we come back to the studio presenter they do the usual ‘apology if you were offended etc’
I remember driving in France about 6 years ago and mid afternoon on one of their stations there was a song in English with the F word. Not bleeped out, no apology rien.
I’m guessing that is a step to far for conservative (small C) Britain but maybe we can just start.
Generically on R6 - something like ‘we do play music that has swearing in it, if offended please turn off‘
Then we can stop the bleeping.
Then for a bigger audience - an upfront (much like Kalaeidoscopic lights) announcement.
